Many Christians today are still caught in a cycle of asking God for things He’s already given. It may sound bold, even controversial, but Scripture is clear: if God gave us His Son, He’s already freely given us everything else we could ever need (Romans 8:32 AMPC).
Think about that for a moment. The greatest gift—Jesus—was already given. So, would God hold back something smaller like provision, peace, or direction? Of course not.
Understanding Your Inheritance
The problem isn’t that we lack anything. The problem is we often don’t know how to receive or walk in what’s already ours. 1 Corinthians 3:21 says plainly: *“All things are yours.”* That’s not a future promise. That’s a right-now reality. Too often, we measure our spiritual position by our physical experience. We think, “If I don’t feel blessed, I must not be.” But spiritual truth isn’t always felt—it’s believed. And when believed, it transforms how we live.
You’re Already Blessed
Ephesians 1:3 tells us we’ve already been blessed with *every spiritual blessing in Christ. And those spiritual blessings aren’t just vague ideas—they’re the root of every good thing, including the physical. The spiritual gave birth to the physical, so if you have the greater, the lesser is included.
Peter echoes this truth in 2 Peter 1:3: “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness…”* Again, not a future hope, but a completed reality.
So Why Does It Not Look Like That?
Many believers struggle with this gap: “If all this is true, why don’t I see it in my life?” The answer is simple, yet challenging—we’re often led more by our experiences than by the Word. But God’s design is for the Word to shape our experiences. So instead of praying for things we already have, our focus should be learning how to activate them by faith—speaking the Word, walking in our authority, and giving thanks for what’s already done.
