You belong to Christ

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4).
In his letter to the church in Galatia, the great apostle Paul in Galatians 2: 20 declared: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
This is one of the greatest revelations of the new creation- the “you” that existed before, ceased to live. The life of old “you” was supplanted with God’s divine life.

Often, we hear Christians say: “I’ve given my life to Christ.” What this means is a total surrender of oneself to Christ. You cease to live a carefree life from that moment because you’ve given Christ the right to rule and reign over your life. You must forthwith give Him the right of way to have the final say in your affairs.
Though this happens at the point of salvation, not many of God’s children walk in the consciousness of the reality. If you’re born again, you no longer own your life because you’ve been bought with a price; you’re therefore to glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:20). It’s now your responsibility to learn through the word, how He wants you to live.
This is what John the Baptist meant when he said: “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). That means Christ must have pre-eminence because he is Lord over your life. Those who allow Christ to have the pre-eminence in their lives are those who have truly yielded to the Holy Ghost. They live above the world and its system because Christ is risen in them.
Make a conscious decision today to give Christ His due place in your life. Refuse to hold anything back from Him because he’s able to make you and help you accomplish a lot more than you could do on your own. This is the secret to living in consistent victory, dominion, health and prosperity-living for Christ!

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
