Stand Up for Jesus

The Bible says Jesus has been placed “high above all other government and authority and power and dominion, and every title of sovereignty used either in this Age or in the Age to come” Ephesians 1:21 (Weymouth New Testament Bible). For that reason, it makes no difference what the title is; be it President, Prime Minister, President General, Chief Judge, etc.  Jesus is above them all. He’s above every title of sovereignty and government. Now, what does this mean for the Church?  For the Lord is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. Isaiah 33:22.

You have rest in Christ Jesus

Remember, He’s the head, and the Church is His body; He and the Church are one; we go by the same name. Thus, in union with Him, the Church is above, and has a say in, any and every government in this world. Therefore, those who think the Church is helpless, beggarly, and weak, must think again. Isaiah 33:22, “For the LORD is our judge (that’s the Judiciary), the LORD is our lawgiver (that’s the legislature), the LORD is our king (that’s the executive)…”

Jesus and the Church have a say in every arm of government. He’s the Judge, the Lawgiver, and the King! Have these in your mind, and stand up for Jesus and the Church everywhere, irrespective of the opposition. If you stand up for Him, he’ll stand for you.

Jesus said, “…All power is given unto me in heaven and earth” Matthew 28:18. Then in the next verse, He said, on the basis and authority of that power, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations….” You country isn’t left out; you have authority in His Name. He said in Matthew 28:20, “…lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

How to follow Jesus Christ

Refuse to be intimidated by any law, regulation, or policies that are against the Gospel; keep serving the Lord faithfully. But control and influence the government and the leaders in your prayers and the exercise of spiritual authority in the name of Jesus Christ

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
