Why Satan Has No Power Over You: Biblical Truths Every Believer Must Know

‎Discover how Jesus brought Satan to nothing and gave you authority through His Name. Walk in victory, power, and boldness as a believer in Christ.

‎Beloved, hear this truth that will set your heart ablaze with faith and victory: Satan has been brought to NOTHING!

‎Hebrews 2:14 declares, “Since the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.” Glory to God! Jesus didn’t just confront the devil—He crushed him, stripped him, and rendered him utterly powerless!

‎To “bring to nought” means to nullify, to reduce to zero—to completely disarm and disempower. That’s exactly what Jesus did through His death and glorious resurrection. The devil is no longer a threat to the believer. He is a defeated foe!

‎Paul echoes this victory shout in Colossians 2:15, “Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Imagine it—Jesus parading His triumph in the very halls of hell, with Satan and all his demons humiliated and overthrown!

‎The Conybeare translation says, “He disarmed the principalities and the powers which fought against Him.” Hallelujah! That means every demonic force has been disarmed. Their weapons have been taken. Their authority? Gone. Their dominion? Broken!

‎1 Corinthians 2:6 calls them “dethroned powers”—once rulers, now overruled! In the Spirit realm, their seats of power have been removed. And now, the Name of Jesus reigns supreme!

‎“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name above every name…” (Philippians 2:9). That Name—Jesus—is your weapon. It’s your access to heaven’s authority. Use that Name, and every knee—whether in heaven, on earth, or under the earth—must bow!

‎Child of God, you’re not a victim; you’re a victor! Walk in boldness. Speak with authority. Use the Name of Jesus and enforce Satan’s defeat in every area of your life!

‎Amen and Amen!

You are alive by the Spirit

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you Romans 8:11. God gave birth to us by the Word, through the spirit. You’re not ordinary person if you are in Christ or if you have the new life in Christ Jesus. The human life you received from your parents has been replaced, supplanted, by the divine life of Christ. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of corruptible, by the word of god, which liveth and abideth forever.”    Often, I tell people that Christianity is more than a legal document; it’s a vital experience; there’s a true life from Christ beating in your heart which is the new life in Christ Jesus. The natural man (anyone without the New Life in Christ Jesus or anyone who is not born again) lives by blood, but a Christian lives by the Spirit. No wonder Jesus, referring to the ne...

The Reign of Death is over

Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come (Romans 5:14)  Satan became the god of this earth because he got it from Adam who lost out through disobedience, resulting significantly in the reign of death. Remember, God had told Adam, “… in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). He was talking about spiritual death; spiritual death is the cause of physical death. So, our theme verse says, “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses (the Law of Moses)…”  But who had the power of death? The Bible says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil” (Hebrews 2:14). Satan was actually behind this reign of death. Now, here’s something exciting that I want ...

The Divinity of Jesus

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father; but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, have seen him” John 14:6-7.   “Is Jesus really God?”   This is one question many still ask today. They believe He was a great prophet and teacher, but find it difficult to accept that He is Himself God, but He is. The Bible says “In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God ” John 1:1. That “Word” that the Bible says “was God” became flesh-Jesus- and dwelt among us: “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John 1:14.     Now, the prophecy that came forth before the birth of Jesus also foretold His divinity: “Behold, a virgin shall be with a child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanue...
