When we look at the world today, it is easy to be intimidated by the systems, structures, and governments that seem to run things. But we need to anchor our spirits in the truth of Ephesians 1:20-21. The Bible tells us that when God raised Jesus from the dead, He didn't just bring Him back to life—He seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.
Notice where Jesus is seated: Far above. Our Lord Jesus Christ is not competing for power. He is not just one among many authorities, presidents, or spiritual forces. He is high above every government, authority, dominion, and every single title of sovereignty used in this age and in the age to come! There is absolutely no system, no corporate structure, and no political office anywhere in the universe that exists outside the supremacy of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 9:6 tells us that the government is upon His shoulders. And Isaiah 9:7 promises, "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end." His authority supersedes every earthly system, from the smallest local council to the galaxies themselves.
But here is the revelation that should make you shout: If the government is upon His shoulders, and we are His body, that means His authority operates through us! Ephesians 2:6 says God raised us up together and made us sit together with Him in heavenly places. As He is far above every ruler and principality of darkness, so are you!
This is why, when any worldly system tries to stand against the Gospel or hinder the Church, we don't cower in fear. We take our rightful place in prayer and by the Word to keep them in check. We have the divine backing to frustrate the plans of darkness because we function in the mighty Name of Jesus.
Walk out your door today with this consciousness. You are not a victim of earthly economies or corrupt systems. You are functioning under the authority of the One who is in charge of it all. Walk in the dominion and supremacy of His mighty power!
