The Bible declares in Galatians 3:13–14 that “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law… that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
This powerful scripture reveals something many believers do not fully grasp: Redemption from the curse of the law was never meant to be the final stop. It was the doorway into something far greater — the blessing of Abraham and the indwelling Spirit of God.
Under the old covenant, the Law was given to the Jews, not the Gentiles. And even then, the Law could not make anyone righteous. It could only reveal sin, never remove it. The Law demanded obedience; grace offers life. The Law pointed out the standard; faith empowers us to live it.
Christ Did More Than Remove a Curse — He Opened the Door to Inheritance
Paul explains that Jesus became a curse on the Cross so that the Jews could be freed from the penalties of the Law. But He didn’t stop there. Through His sacrifice, the blessing of Abraham—which includes justification, favour, inheritance, and the Holy Spirit Himself—was released to all who believe, Jew or Gentile.
Under the Law, everything depended on works.
God said in Exodus 19:5:
“If you obey… then you shall be…”
But the blessing of Abraham does not operate by performance.
It operates by faith.
Abraham believed God—and that simple act of believing was counted as righteousness (Romans 4:3). Today, the same righteousness is given to anyone who puts their faith in Jesus.
🔥 We Now Live by Faith — Not Rules, Not Rituals, Not Performance
The New Testament makes this truth unshakably clear:
“The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17
“Without faith, it is impossible to please God.” — Hebrews 11:6
“No man is justified by the law…” — Galatians 3:11
Faith is not just a spiritual concept; it is the lifestyle of the believer.
It’s the key that unlocks everything God has already made available in Christ.
Through faith, we:
✔ Receive righteousness
✔ Walk in God’s blessing
✔ Enjoy our inheritance
✔ Experience the Holy Spirit’s power
✔ Live the victorious life Jesus paid for
Faith isn’t optional — it is the currency of the Kingdom.
✨ Final Encouragement: Live It Out
Speak faith.
Respond in faith.
Walk by faith.
Stand in faith.
The blessings of the New Testament already belong to you — and faith is how you take hold of them.
