Power of God to Save

The power of God to save men is the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Romans 1:16, “for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” This Gospel testifies that Jesus came to bring man out of sin, distress and trouble, to give him the gift of righteousness and to make him one with himself. He came to make you a partaker of the divine nature 2 Peter1:4.

All a man needs to do, to partake in all that Jesus has made available, is to believe the Gospel. The power of the Gospel only work for those who believe: “for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans10:10.believing the Gospel is the only way your spirit can contact with God. When you believe the word, that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ, you are automatically made righteous in Christ Romans5:1, Romans 10:9.
Titus 1:3says, God has “…in due times manifested His word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of our Saviour.” If you have received the new life in Christ Jesus, this is your solemn responsibility. You are to make the power God to save of known through preaching. Let your commitment to the Lord reflect in your dedication to the preaching of the Gospel.
In 1 Corinthians 9:16, Paul was emphatic in his commitment to the Gospel; he states: “if I proclaim the message, it is not to get something out of it for myself. I’m doomed if I don’t” As a Christian, commit yourself to the preaching of the Gospel today: it is your number one Kingdom responsibility.

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
