The Word of God is your Evidence

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1. One of those peculiar rules and requirements of effectual prayer is that you present the Word of God as your evidence. This is one of the reasons you should constantly study God’s Word; the Word is evidence you need to lay claims to your inheritance in Christ. If you were told to prove your ownership to a piece of land, for instance, you wouldn’t set out to move the property from its location to show anyone making such enquiry, would you? Rather, you’d simply produce the “evidence” or “title deed” to the property. in the Amplified version, faith is defined as “…the assurance (the confirmation, THE TITLE   DEED) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we]do not see {and} the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” Hebrews 11:1. When you seek to effect changes through the prayer of faith, you must be spiritu

Do not Dwell On The Past

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Philippians 3:13.    The book of acts gives us the detailed story of Saul of Tarus, who later became known as Paul. Prior to his conversion, he desperately persecuted God’s people. However, one day, on his way to Damascus, in furtherance of his merciless onslaught   against the church, he had an encounter with the Lord “…what wilt thou have me to do?...” Acts 9:6.   That day, Lord changed his destiny and gave him a new focus. The hitherto persecutor of the church became one of the Lord’s greatest Apostles whom He charged with the responsibility to take Gospel to the Gentiles, turning them from darkness to light, and from  the power of Satan unto God, Acts 26:18. With a greater zeal than that with which he previously persecuted the church, Paul committed His life to reaching the Gospel, refusing to be deterre

A New Way of Life

Lie not to one another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him Colossian 3:9-10.   2 Corinthians 5:17 (International Standard Version) says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have disappeared, and-look-all things have become new!” it’s a new identity, and a new way of life for the one who’s born again. The old lifestyle, old ways of thinking and of doing things have been supplanted. This is why as a new creation you can choose not to do wrong.   Unlike the unregenerate man, who sin is intrinsic in his nature, those of us who are born again have the nature of God, which is the nature of righteousness; we have a new life and a new identity. People may still call you names as they did before you received Christ, however the bible says, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified i
