Born into God’s class

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13).    This is one of the most powerful truths revealed to you to take some time today and mediate on it. To be born again is to be born of God. It means to be born of Spirit and the word of God. It means to have the life, nature and character of God, to be born into His class of being.   God made us and He had a plan for us, and in that plan He determined to give us eternal life. So we’re more than just creatures living in the earth; we’re those in whom divinity dwells. God gave us eternal life to lift us to His class of being: “therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).    If you’re born again, it means you’re in Christ, and if you’re in Christ, yo

The life of Christ in you

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1: 27).   Christianity is the pulsating life of Christ in a human person. When you become a Christian, it means Christ has taken up His abode in your spirit; you become God’s dwelling place; His living headquarters.   Now that you’re born again, the life in you is the supernatural life of Christ. That life in you makes you indestructible and “uninfectable”; it’s sickness, disease and death resistant for it’s the very life of God. Your life is no longer dependent on the blood that flows through your physical body.   When you become a child of God by being born again you become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17); your blood ceases to be what sustains your life. That’s why the Bible says “…as many as received him, to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, b

Faith is a possessor

Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1).   The gospel of our Lord Jesus is a message of faith. The reason some people have problem with their faith is that they don’t know what faith really is. Contrary to what some people think, faith isn’t difficult to understand. The fundamental attribute of faith is that it is a possessor. Faith is a possessor. It is not trying to get God to do something. Faith doesn’t ask why it didn’t get the answer to a prayer for faith always gets answers to prayer. Someone once said, “I know that I have faith, but I don’t understand why I haven’t been healed.” That’s not faith. Faith will never say, “I don’t understand why I’m not healed,” for faith would have taken possession of its healing!   As long as you’re still saying, “I don’t know why…,” it means you’re still struggling with your believing. Faith, on the contrary, is a possessor. Faith doesn’t say, “I’m waiting for the manifestation

You can change things

To him that overcometh will I will grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcome, and am set down with my Father in his throne (Revelation 3:21).   Our spiritual promotions are based on our triumphs of faith. God watches to see us overcome every challenge that we face because He’s given us the power to do so.   Your level of spiritual maturity determines the kind of relationship you’ll have with the Lord. Let me explain what I mean with this illustration: when you were a baby, your parents did everything for you. They fed you, bathed you and changed your clothes. But they stopped doing all these for you at a particular stage in your life. This wasn’t because they loved you less, but because you had come of age, and as such, you were expected to be more responsible for your life.    In the same way, there’s a stage in your Christian walk where God isn’t at all perturbed when you’re faced with unpleasant situations. In fact, He’s actually happy to see you face ch

The Christian is not a sinner

For he hath made him to be sin for, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthian 5:21)   Jesus didn’t die to make us sinners; He died to make us saints of God. We’re His holy and sanctified ones; born with His nature of righteousness. The opening scripture shows us the reason He died and was made sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him… Praise God! The sinner is not just someone who has committed sin. For example, the fact that someone lied doesn’t make him a liar; he only becomes a liar when it’s his nature to tell lies. In the same way, though it’s wrong to sin, you can’t call a man a sinner just because he sinned. One can only be a sinner by nature, because sin is a nature.         Sin is the nature of the devil which is passed to every man that’s born into this world. It’s beyond the mere acts of lying, stealing, fornication etc. that exist in the world today. Thus, for someone to be called a sinner me

Stand in the evil day

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13).    Right after the baptism of the Lord Jesus, He was led by the Spirit to the wilderness where He was tempted by the devil (Luke 4:1-12). I want you to notice the words “for a season…” It means it wasn’t over yet; the enemy went away to return at a later date. As Christians we need to realize that the enemy shows up like this from time to time, and that’s what the Bible refers to as the “evil day.”    Satan can’t be everywhere at the same time, he goes from place to place as he has opportunity. He’s a defeated foe, but he’s full of deceit. That’s why the Bible admonishes that you give him no place so he doesn’t take you unawares, and also tells you to “…take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day…”   The evil day is when all hell seems to have broken loose against you; it’s when

Jesus is our good Shepherd

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. (John 10:14)   The Lord Jesus used the scripture above to describe His primary responsibility towards us. Notice He didn’t say, “I am the apostle,” even though he is. He didn’t say, “I am the good prophet” even though yet again He is. He chose to describe Himself as the “good shepherd.” He’s our good shepherd! That’s another way of saying He’s our‘Good pastor’ because a shepherd is a pastor.    David, by the spirit outlined the qualities of the good shepherd in Psalm 23: 1-3: “the lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” The Good shepherd feeds his sheep without their having to ask; He nurtures, guides and protects them from harm. He seeks out the best pasture for them and leads them to that pasture.    As long as you follow Jesus, our Goo

You are justified

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5: 1).  The bible lets us know that Jesus wasn’t only delivered on account of our sins, He was also raised for our Justification: “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for justification” Romans 4: 25. What does it mean to be justified?  Firstly, you need to understand that there’s a difference between justification and forgiveness. The Apostle Paul, in the opening scripture, wasn’t talking about forgiveness, nor was he talking about remission. He was talking justification. To be justified means “to be declared not guilty.” It means to be declared righteous. Thus, in the eyes of God, you never sinned because God Himself who should judge you for your wrongdoing, is saying, “No, you didn’t do wrong; you’re clean.” That’s what it means to be justified.  The bible says, “therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, a

Your mouth is your weapon

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword… Revelation 1:16  Your mouth is a dangerous weapon which can work for or against you, depending on how you use it. When the Bible tells us to take “the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:17, the term “sword” is actually referring to your mouth. The Greek word translated “mouth” actually means “the front or edge of a weapon.”  When you open your mouth and begin to speak words in faith, you are using your weapon to ward off whatever comes against you. You can use it to cut the adversary down, and chart the course of your life! When you say, “I rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus”, you are destroying that sickness from its roots! You are cutting down the cancer, cutting down the diabetes, cutting down that heart trouble. When you rebuke poverty in the name of Jesus, you are destroying poverty from your life.  Now, with this information in your mind,

Called into a life of greatness

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2)    Some people have the erroneous belief that there’re certain people whom God specially favours and blesses, and that such people are the ones called of God into a life of greatness. Well, not when you’re born again , for God chose all of us-His kids to be great, and desires to use each one of us mightily in our own unique ways to fulfill His purpose in the earth.   Everyone that’s born of God has in him or her the seed of greatness. We are the people who have been called to greatness. Unlike the children of Israel, whose greatness was preconditioned on their obedience to the Law of Moses to the letter, we, the new creation in Christ were born great. Now we don’t need to strive to keep any of those Laws anymore because they’ve been abolished (Ephesians 2:15), and we’re called obedient children (1 Peter 1:14). It’s our nature to walk in obedie

You belong to Christ

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4).   In his letter to the church in Galatia, the great apostle Paul in Galatians 2: 20 declared: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” This is one of the greatest revelations of the new creation- the “you” that existed before, ceased to live. The life of old “you” was supplanted with God’s divine life.   Often, we hear Christians say: “I’ve given my life to Christ.” What this means is a total surrender of oneself to Christ. You cease to live a carefree life from that moment because you’ve given Christ the right to rule and reign over your life. You must forthwith give Him the right of way to have the final say in your affairs.   Though this happens at the point of salvation, not many of God’s children

Take Charge

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith 1 John 5:4  When you study the life of Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you’ll discover he was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control; unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life he’s given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express your faith unperturbed. Get more messages for our Pastor    You must learn to be unruffled or unperplexed regardless of what happens around you! Take charge. Act like Jesus, who remained unmoved when He was told in John 11:3, “…Lord behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.” KJV. The Master wasn’t moved by the news of Lazarus’ sickness; He remained unflustered even after he was told that Lazarus had died and had been buried

Possessor all things

“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours” 1 Corinthians 3:21, KJV   There latter part of the verse of scripture above is a present-hour reality; it’s not a promise. A Christian is a possessor; he’s not someone who’s trying to have. This is very important, and it is one truth you must hold on to for your faith to be as effective as it should. Get messages from  our Pastor here   Something you need to understand about the subject of faith is that faith is NOW. It doesn’t look forward to the blessings of God coming to pass; it possesses. So in walking by faith, you’re not hoping or believing to have anything, for you already possess all things. You’re not expecting anything from God, for all things have been made available to you in Christ Jesus.   Many people express hope and wonder why there’s been no change in their situation. Faith is what works ; not hope. Hope is futuristic, while faith is of the present. Hope says, “I believe for a miracl

Faith works

Faith is the response of the human spirit to the word of God. Faith makes everything in life possible; it does not fail. If faith did not work that means it is not faith. Hebrew 11:1 “now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen” KJV. Faith is the evidence of the unseen realities.   Romans 4:17-20 “… before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief. But was strong in faith, giving glory to God” KJV.     From the above reference, two statements are very remarkable and the first one is God who calls those things which are n

Born into wealth untold

The spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if Children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:16-17.   If you’re born again, you have an inheritance in Christ; the apostle Paul described it as unsearchable riches, Ephesians 3:8, wealth untold! It was bequeathed to you by the Monarch of the universe- the one who said “the silver is mine, the gold is mine…’ Haggai 2:8  All the wealth in the world belong to God: the money believe, precious stones, minerals, oil and everything that men believe they own, all belong to Lord and by extension you, for you’re His heir. You’re the heir of the mega-rich God; the fountain of riches. His wealth is limitless, inestimable and unquantifiable. Thus you’re born into wealth untold! Hallelujah! Do you see why you should never talk poverty or lack?  Your ‘Papa’s’ wealth isn’t subject to the market forc

You were bought with a price

Some people, when trying to explain the concept of salvation, use the illustration of a drowning man who was rescued by pulling him out to safety with a lifeline. That’s a misrepresentation of the salvation Jesus brought. A better illustration would be that the man had been condemned to death by drowning for his wrong. He’d been gagged, bound hand-and-foot, and about to be thrown into the raging sea. Then Jesus comes and says, “Don’t kill him; I’ll take his place and drown in his stead.” Jesus didn’t just throw him a lifeline, or send in divers, or swim the treacherous water to drag him out to safety. No, he took his place of condemnation and drowned in his stead! For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s 1 Corinthians 6:20 That’s the right perspective of the salvation Christ purchased for us with His own blood. So when you talk about Jesus saving you, you’re not talking about someone who delivered you from tro

Jesus Is The Christ

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, whom do men say that I the son of man am? And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:13-16)    Just like the disciples back in the Bible days, there’re many today who don’t know Jesus as the Christ. They merely see Him as the great prophet. Some see him as great teacher, while some others see Him as the great healer. But Jesus is all that and much more. He is the Christ.     The word “Christ” is from the Greek word “christos,” which refers to the Messiah or the anointed One, and His anointing. So contrary to what some folks believe, “Christ” is not Jesus surname; rather it refers to the anointing that make Him who he is. That anointing empowered Him supernaturally for His eart

You are superior to death

Death has no power over any Christian or born again Christian. Death was reigning over all men on earth, before Jesus Christ came, death was a terror and Satan had the power of death so he was terrorizing men with the fear of death. But when Jesus Christ came, he took the keys of death from Satan and set men free from the power of death. Hebrew 2: 14-15, “forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage ”  So Jesus died on the cross not only for the sins of the world but also to destroy him; the devil who had the keys of death. Revelation 1: 18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death .” Jesus defeated Satan and settled the problem of death and gave us a new life. So, if

The new life of faith

When things seem to be going the way you don't like or maybe you are facing some hopeless situations, God expects you to change the situations with your faith. Why? In 1 John 5: 4 “for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” KJV. Your faith is your victory. Hence, you have the ability to turn the situations around. OUR LIFESTYLE   Faith is our lifestyle as Christians. Romans 1:17, “for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith” KJV. Some Christians are facing some hopeless situations because they are very sensitive to their environments or senses. So, if the weather is cold, they will say they have cold, if they are running temperature, they will say they have hay fever. That is not your lifestyle. You are born of the word of God and that is your source of life; your faith in the word of God gives you the life. SICKNE

The Supernatural life in Christ

The purpose of God for man is that unlimited life of supernatural should be his daily experience Genesis 1:28 “…God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: have dominion…” KJV. Hence God’s plan is that man should be fruitful and experience a life of increased blessing twenty four hours of the day and seven days of the week, consciously and unconsciously but when man fell from the glory, man lost everything. However, in Christ the glorious life or the supernatural life is restored. No wonder Apostle John says 1John 3:1 “Behold, what manner of love the father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…” KJV. If we are sons, then heir according to the promise, Praise God! You should live the inherent life of God in you as a Christian everyday of your life; living and reigning by the word of God. That is your Christian life. It is an unlimited life of supernatural. How do you live this life? To live this

Jesus Christ is the name above all names

Names are used to identify things. Everything we can see, feel and touch has name, but there is a name above all these names; the name of Jesus Christ. The bible told us that “ God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name ” KJV. Philippians 2: 9. You can call all the names you know but none of them is dependable like the name of Jesus Christ, his name is the strongest weapon against any force of life and nature, his name the only name which can set the devils on the run. At the name of Jesus Christ, everything in heaven, on earth and under the earth will bow, praise God!   Mark 16:17 “ and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils… ” KJV Do you believe? If you do, these signs shall follow you because the name of Jesus Christ is the symbol of power to every believer in Christ Jesus. We are not helpless as Christians; the name of Jesus is our weapon and the power in the name of Jesus is unlimited. The pow

Spiritual growth in Christ

God’s desire is that you will grow as Christians. He doesn’t want you to feel comfortable with the level you are now; there are many rooms for improvement. In the book of Galatians 4: 1, “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” KJV.  As a baby Christian, you cannot access everything God has prepared for you. There are some levels of glory you cannot experience if you are not growing.    God want you to come up to the level where you will be able to know that sickness, poverty or lack is not possible for you. This is the realm of glory, a realm where divinity reigns. There is where God wants you to be. The opening text says “… the heir, long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” An heir who is not growing can also suffer like a servant because he is still under bondage. This is why God want every Christian to grow. How to grow spiritually    God has given us

Jesus Christ is not a god

Hello, friend thank you for taking your time to visit this page I will encourage you to be patient and go through this article and I believe that this post will help you to understand real fact about Jesus Christ and why He is not a god. Some people think that Christ is the Lamb of God and some others believe that He is the greatest prophet. Others say that he is founder of a religious group called Christianity. Some also believe that he is not the creator and so cannot be God because of scientific theories. But which of these statements truly describe the person of Jesus Christ? Although, the science had stated some mind blowing theories of the existence of life on the earth that is the theory of evolution of life which stated that life started as one funny element in the water and after so many years the element developed into the high mammal known as human being, but the bible says Genesis 1:1 “ in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth ” KJV This simp

Living by the word of God

As Christians, we do not have any other life except in the word of God. This is because we are the products of the word; we are born of the word. John 6:63 “it is the spirit that quickeneth(gives life) the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life” KJV. Life of the Christian is in the word, the word guides us and the more remarkable statement according the words of Jesus Christ is that the words are life. 1 Peter 2:2 “as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby” KJV. The word is our main source of life as Christians. Deuteronomy 32:46-47 “and said unto them, set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day , which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life : and  through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it” KJV.     The wor

The Preeminence of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is not one of the prophets; He is also not one of the founders of religious groups. Jesus Christ is God and the creator of all things. John 1: 1-3 ,”in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” KJV.    He is more powerful and superior to anything in this universe; they are all created by Him. In the book of Colossians 1:15-17 “who is the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and for him: and he is before all things and by him all things consist” KJV . Jesus is before everything and He walked on the surface of this earth as the image of God. Notice the bible says about Him, “ he is before

A New life of glory in Christ

Although, most Christians can easily accept, that the new creation have a past but it is not so. New creation does not have a past. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away: behold all things are new”. KJV the new creation is not a man who turns away from sinful life and become a saint. He is a new brand one without past. He has not existed before. If you look at the book of psalms 2:7, “I will declare the decree: the lord hath said unto me, thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee ”. From where we read the bible says this day have I begotten thee mean that he born him, he did not say raise you from the dead which will mean an extension of the past life. In other words, Christ Jesus was given birth to again. He was the first begotten from dead Revelation 1:5. Meaning he was the first to be born from dead. So, if you are in Christ, you are a new creation with the life of the glorif

The victorious life in Christ Jesus

The life you received the moment you are born again is the life of God, eternal life, God-kind of life. In 1 John 5:11-12 “ and this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” KJV. The Superior Life The life we have as Christians is superior to Satan, sickness, diseases and poverty. The bible says, “ For this purpose was the son of God manifested that He might destroy the work of the devil” 1 John 3:8. Jesus Christ has done this thing already, He is not trying to do it, He is not going to do it, it is done, it is finished and he has given you the victory already.  Romans 8:27 says …we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. This simply means we are already living a victorious life. Let this be your mindset. Make this statement real in your life by walking in faith. You will be amazed how your life will be transformed. Born of God  In book of J

Cheer up for the life has come

Some people are not happy with their life because they feel that their problems are the worst or maybe the governments have failed in so many areas. All the same, Christians should know that they are called into a life of everlasting joy and happiness not only when we go to heaven but also in this world.  In other words, our source of joy and happiness should not be controlled by what is happening around us; we are not of the world.  Christ brought a special kind of life to us and that life is more than the life we used to know when we were in the world.John 10:10 Jesus Christ says “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” KJV.   The message is very clear that Jesus did not come to admire the world with their problems but He brought solution; He came with a life of victory over the challenges of life, a life of victory over sickness and sin.     Jesus Christ did not com
