Spiritual growth in Christ

God’s desire is that you will grow as Christians. He doesn’t want you to feel comfortable with the level you are now; there are many rooms for improvement. In the book of Galatians 4: 1, “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” KJV.  As a baby Christian, you cannot access everything God has prepared for you. There are some levels of glory you cannot experience if you are not growing.
God want you to come up to the level where you will be able to know that sickness, poverty or lack is not possible for you. This is the realm of glory, a realm where divinity reigns. There is where God wants you to be. The opening text says “… the heir, long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” An heir who is not growing can also suffer like a servant because he is still under bondage. This is why God want every Christian to grow.
How to grow spiritually

God has given us everything that we need for our growth both physically and spiritually. In the book of 2 Peter 1:3, “according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” KJV. Everything you need to live a healthy life and godly life is in the knowledge of Jesus Christ; you don’t need any extra knowledge. 1Peter 2:2, “As new babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” KJV. This portion is letting us to know that the word of God is our milk which we should desire for healthy Christian growth, Praise God! Paul, in the acts of the Apostle put it this way Acts 20:32, “ And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” KJV. The word of God has the ability to build you up; you need God meaning you need to give your life to Christ and you need to study or learn the word of God if your desire is to have inheritance among the saints of God.
Praise God!

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
