Faith is a possessor

Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1).
The gospel of our Lord Jesus is a message of faith. The reason some people have problem with their faith is that they don’t know what faith really is. Contrary to what some people think, faith isn’t difficult to understand. The fundamental attribute of faith is that it is a possessor. Faith is a possessor. It is not trying to get God to do something. Faith doesn’t ask why it didn’t get the answer to a prayer for faith always gets answers to prayer. Someone once said, “I know that I have faith, but I don’t understand why I haven’t been healed.” That’s not faith. Faith will never say, “I don’t understand why I’m not healed,” for faith would have taken possession of its healing!

As long as you’re still saying, “I don’t know why…,” it means you’re still struggling with your believing. Faith, on the contrary, is a possessor. Faith doesn’t say, “I’m waiting for the manifestation of what I prayed about.” No! Faith lives in it. It has taken possession of whatever it desires. This is why the Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of the unseen. In other word, it’s evidence of that which isn’t real to the physical senses.
God told Abraham he had made him the father of many nations even though it wasn’t possible for him to have any child. Abraham, on his part, caught the picture and began to answer to his new name. In other words, he took possession of his unborn generations by faith.
As long as you’re hoping for the manifestation, you’re not in the faith arena. Therefore, take possession of whatever you desire by faith, for all things are yours by faith. Never forget this.

You are alive by the Spirit

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you Romans 8:11. God gave birth to us by the Word, through the spirit. You’re not ordinary person if you are in Christ or if you have the new life in Christ Jesus. The human life you received from your parents has been replaced, supplanted, by the divine life of Christ. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of corruptible, by the word of god, which liveth and abideth forever.”    Often, I tell people that Christianity is more than a legal document; it’s a vital experience; there’s a true life from Christ beating in your heart which is the new life in Christ Jesus. The natural man (anyone without the New Life in Christ Jesus or anyone who is not born again) lives by blood, but a Christian lives by the Spirit. No wonder Jesus, referring to the ne...

The Reign of Death is over

Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come (Romans 5:14)  Satan became the god of this earth because he got it from Adam who lost out through disobedience, resulting significantly in the reign of death. Remember, God had told Adam, “… in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). He was talking about spiritual death; spiritual death is the cause of physical death. So, our theme verse says, “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses (the Law of Moses)…”  But who had the power of death? The Bible says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil” (Hebrews 2:14). Satan was actually behind this reign of death. Now, here’s something exciting that I want ...

The Divinity of Jesus

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father; but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, have seen him” John 14:6-7.   “Is Jesus really God?”   This is one question many still ask today. They believe He was a great prophet and teacher, but find it difficult to accept that He is Himself God, but He is. The Bible says “In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God ” John 1:1. That “Word” that the Bible says “was God” became flesh-Jesus- and dwelt among us: “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John 1:14.     Now, the prophecy that came forth before the birth of Jesus also foretold His divinity: “Behold, a virgin shall be with a child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanue...
