Take Charge

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith 1 John 5:4
When you study the life of Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you’ll discover he was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control; unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life he’s given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express your faith unperturbed.

You must learn to be unruffled or unperplexed regardless of what happens around you! Take charge. Act like Jesus, who remained unmoved when He was told in John 11:3, “…Lord behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.” KJV. The Master wasn’t moved by the news of Lazarus’ sickness; He remained unflustered even after he was told that Lazarus had died and had been buried for four days. He was in charge.
When Jesus eventually showed up, Mary and Martha at different occasions came to Him and said “Lord if you’d been here, Lazarus our brother wouldn’t have died.” I am often thrilled at the Master’s response. With neither regret nor fret in His voice, he said, “… I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall be live: and whosesoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die…” John 11:25 what confidence; when others were extremely confused and agitated!

How I love Jesus; nothing could shake Him! Relaxed, he stood at the entrance of the sepulcher, uttered a simple prayer of thanks to the father, and called out: “Lazarus, come forth!” the man that had been dead for four days, come out alive (John 11:41-44).  That was faith, functioning from a place of rest and absolute mastery.
Faith recognizes no fear, because it trusts in the ability of God. When you’re faced with challenges, don’t cower or become frightful or fretful. Be in charge. All through this year, irrespective of what happens around you; even if you receive negative news from afar, maintain your composure and declare God’s word. Take charge. Refuse to worry; just give the word and effect a change. Hallelujah!

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
