Be a Champion

Be a Champion
And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Genesis 45:7).
In life, you’re either a victor or victim. There’re those who barely manage to survive; they’re the ones who fall victims of the economy and systems of the world. What they’re mostly interested in and concerned about is keeping their heads above water, so long as they and their small nucleus family are content.
On the other hand, there are those who go through life with a different mindset-they win for others. They aren’t content to have just enough to merely get by; they drive themselves to make things better for the sake of others. Simply put, they’re the world’s problem-solvers. They’re the champions of our day! They’re always bursting with ideas on how to solve the problems that they face, so that other might also benefit from the solution.
You’ll find such an example in David, who, during his showdown with Goliath, had several thoughts running through his mind. When he first heard the giant boasting, he asked one question: “what will be done for the man who defeats the giant?” and he was told among other things, “he and his house will be free of taxes in Israel.” Young as he was, his eyes sparkled at the thought of his entire family being exonerated from tax forever!
So, aside championing the cause for the entire nation of Israel, he was determined to win the battle against Goliath so his family would benefit. Consequently, he was both Israel’s champion and the champion of his own family.

As a child of God, be a champion! Don’t be content to just make it through life with enough for yourself. Win for others! Make your world a better place! Be a problem-solver so that other may gain and have a better life. Recognize life’s challenges as opportunities. Don’t count yourself as a victim. Ask God to give you an idea to solve problems for yourself and others; be a champion today!

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
