Developing your faith

Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1).
Something very important you need to understand about the subject of faith is that faith is NOW. While hope looks forward to the blessings of God coming to pass, faith possesses. So in walking by faith, you’re not hoping or believing to have anything, for you already possess all things. You’re not expecting anything from God, for all things have been made available to you in Christ Jesus.
Many people express hope and wonder why there’s been no change in their situation. Faith is what works, not hope. Hope is futuristic, while faith is of the present. There’s a different between “believe for a miracle” and “I have a miracle!” you’re already a believer; and according to the Bible, the believer is a possessor; a “haver”-“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:” (John 3:36).
So, I say to you today, stop waiting for God to do something about your case; take what’s yours. Take your healing! Take your job. That thing you’ve been “believing God” for, take it! It’s yours. Stop saying, “I hope I will receive my healing one day,” say, “I am healed,” for God has already healed you: “who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we , being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” (Peter 2:24).
Faith is the evidence of the unseen; that means though you’re yet to see any physical manifestation with your optical eyes for the thing you’re hoping for, you perceive them as real, for they are real. That’s faith-seeing with the eyes of your spirit that thing you desire and taking possession of it. There’s no other way to receive from God for the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore move your believing to faith.

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
