Get excited about God

man after God's heart
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart (psalm 37:4).
When the Bible says you should “delight yourself in the Lord”, that’s another way of saying “Get excited about God!” To be “excited” means “to be stirred by strong emotion;” that means when you think about God, you’re stirred in your heart. It means that you think about him fondly and want to do anything to please God and be in His presence. He said “I was glad when they said unto me; let us go into the house of the Lord” (Psalm 122:1)! He was so excited about God that God called him the “…man after mine own heart” (Acts 13:22).
The Bible says “then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father…” (Isaiah 58:14). Did you see that? People who are excited about God will always have the supernatural happening in their lives; God personally causes them to live above the system of the world! Everyday for them is glorious and colourful. But those who are not excited about Him (thought they are saved) have a dull experience of life.

When you delight yourself in the Lord, the Bible says “…He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” In other words, when you’re excited about God and delight yourself in him, you wouldn’t need to pray for anything for yourself! While the desire is yet in your heart, God will give it to you! Your prayer life will become one of intercession for others and continuous worship. Get excited about God and all that’s important to Him, and experience an overflow of the miraculous!

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
