Speaking in Tongues Activates the Power of God

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands 2 Timothy1: 6.
The power of God came into your life the day you received the Holy Spirit: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you… “  Acts 1:8. However, this doesn’t the power is active v already; you’ve got to activate it. That’s why Paul told Timothy to stir up the gift of God in him. He was referring to the power of the Holy Spirit which can be dormant in your spirit unless you activate it.
Sad to say that some folks have received   the power of God (having been born again and filled with the Holy Spirit), but have allowed that power lie dormant in them. So, often times you find them praying to God for what already belongs to them. The Lord, through His word shows us that we’re responsible for activating His power in us. Paul didn’t say to timothy “pray to God to stir up the gift in you,” for not god responsibility, but yours.
When you pray in tongues you stir up the power of God resident in your spirit. You are converting the “latent energy” of the spirit in you into “kinetic energy” as it were. Suddenly, that power that was quietly nestling in your spirit is activated and you are transfigured! You are suddenly infused with divine strength, and the glory of God revealed through you.
It’s no use praying to God to “send more power down from heaven” or send more anointing”; the anointing, which is the power of God, is in you already, but you have to activate it and put it to work. That’s what I’m showing you today, how to activate the power of God in you by speaking in other tongues. What a blessing this is! You can turn the power on whenever you choose, wherever you are –by speaking in tongues. Stir up that power right now; speak in other tongues.

How to follow Jesus

Following Jesus is not going to church always, it is not praying always, it is not reading the bible always etc. although, all these activities are good but they do not make one a follower of Christ Jesus. Matthew 19:16-21, the rich young ruler was perfect in all of them yet something was missing which was the most important one. In the book of John 3:1 Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew, was disqualified in spite of his knowledge of the law.              What is following Jesus? So, what is following Jesus? Following Jesus Christ is living by the word of God. Luke 4:4 and Jesus answered him saying man shall not live by bread alone, by every word of God. This is living your life according to the direction of the Word of God. It is abiding in the word of God or Jesus. John 15:4-5.     Steps to follow  ·          You must believe in Jesus Christ, John 3:16   ·          You must be born again John 3:3 ·          You must have faith in God. Heb 11:1-6 ·

Salvation is for the Living

Some people have asked if Christians could intercede on behalf of a person who died without receiving Christ, so such a person could go to heaven instead of hell. The answer is No. “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth” Isaiah 38:18-19. Anyone who didn’t receive Christ while on earth stands condemned. In John 3:18, Jesus said, “… but he that believeth not is condemned already….”   So, the one who dies without knowing Christ, died in condemnation, and it would be of no use praying for such a one to go to heaven because the choice of whether to make heaven or not is personal one.   It’s important to realize that the salvation message is for the living and not the dead. You can only receive Christ as Lord and Saviour in response to the Gospel while you’re still in the earth. Jesus

Keys to Effectual Prayers

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him. Lord, teach us to pray… (Lake 11:1)   When you study the lives of the early prophets and the apostles, even the Lord Jesus Christ, you’d find they were very effective in their prayer lives. In our opening verse, disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray because they observed His prayers' effectiveness. So, it’s not just enough to pray; it’s the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man that produces results.   There’re scriptural rules and guidelines for effectual prayers. There are some things you have to pray about continually, you intercede continually; and there’re things that you pray for only once because if you keep praying about them, you’re getting into unbelief, rather than applying faith.    Meanwhile, there’re things you’re not even supposed to pray for, because no matter how long you pray about them, God is not going to respond becaus
